Meet Our Instructors

Jaimie Johnson

Owner/Director/Instructor

Jaimie is a Class Act alum who turned her dance career into a full-circle moment. After graduating high school, Jaimie pursued her life-long dream to become a professional dancer and was hired by Stiletto Entertainment to dance on a cruise ship and sail the world.

Following that adventure, she made her move to Las Vegas where she performed in numerous shows including Les Folies Bergère, Show In The Sky, Hawaiian Tropic Zone, and many others!

Deciding to attend graduate school for aquatic ecology and fisheries, Jaimie moved back to Ohio, is back at CADS and is the proud new owner of Class Act Dance Studio. She plans to continue inspiring young dancers to follow their passions in the very home that shaped her own dreams.

Amy Golembiowski

Office Manager/Instructor

Amy originally came to CADS as a dance mom and started teaching acrobats at CADS in 2009. After extensive training on the job, Amy was later certified in the Acrobatic Arts Program in 2015.

Since 2021 Amy has been working as our dependable office manager. She loves being able to watch all the kids grow, not only as dancers but as individuals too.

Brookelynn Felter

Instructor

Brookelynn started dancing when she was three years old. Her training started at Five Pointe Dance Academy and then she danced her way to CADS in 2018.

Brookelynn has been a competitive dancer for 15 years and started teaching for CADS in 2019. Brookelynn loves sharing her passion for dance with the younger generations and is excited for another year with CADS.

Dana Hall

Instructor

Dana  began her dance training at Class Act Dance Studio at the age of 5. Dancing on and off throughout the years, she competed in tap and jazz during high school while also studying ballet and lyrical.

After high school, Dana attended Bowling Green State University, and continued her dance training with the Department of Dance modern-based program, University Dance Alliance, and Dance Repertory Ensemble.

She graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education and a minor in Arts Management. Since graduating from BGSU, Dana joined the teaching staff at Class Act Dance Studio in 2011.

She has also choreographed two musicals for the Bellevue Society for the Arts’ Teen Theatre and coached the Margaretta Bear Company Dance Team for two seasons.

She continues her dance training with the Cleveland Dance Project, Ballet in the City, and by participating in teacher conventions offered by Nuvo/Break the Floor, Tremaine, and other traveling competitions.

Kamryn Marcha

Instructor

Kamryn also grew up at CADS where she has been dancing for 14 years and assistant teaching for six years.

She is currently an early education major at Bowling Green State University where she is also involved in dance activities.
Last year Kamryn was selected by Breathe Dance Convention to be their assistant so she will travel with Breathe this year doing what she loves most- dancing and teaching. Kamryn is very excited to share her love and passion for dance with the next generation of dancers.

Ann Marie Meek

Instructor

Ann Marie been an instructor at Class Act for over 35 years.

Ann Marie graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She has performed with the Toledo and Cleveland Operas and also enjoys guest teaching in both private and public schools and dance studios.

Ann Marie also inspires young minds at Bishop Hoffman Catholic School where she teaches kindergarten.

Karen Stradtman

Instructor

Karen is a former owner of Class Act Dance Studio. She has over 35 years of experience teaching dance. Her award winning students have danced across the country and in Europe and Japan.

Although her knowledge of all forms of dance led to her being asked to judge at several competitions, she is probably best known for her love of her students.

Ava Adkins

Instructor

Ava has been dancing for 15 years at Class Act Dance Studio; eight of these years she has also been on the competition team. Along with being one of the dancers at the studio, she also teaches and creates choreography for other dancers. Ava has also been a teacher’s assistant for four years. Ava recently took on a new role as the studio’s Community Director and Marketing Lead.

Ava’s favorite genre of dance is tap, and you will often see her giving one-on-one time with younger students to help perfect their tap technique. Her favorite part of the job is watching students achieve new tricks and seeing their faces light up when they finally perfect that new dance move. You can see Ava’s love for dance daily when she walks into the studio with a smile on her face, while she’s teaching, but especially when she’s on stage performing.

Currently, Ava is a senior at Fremont Ross High School and when she is not at school or the studio she is working at 4A Farm and Fence Co. Upon completion of high school, Ava’s plan is to remain teaching at CADS and guiding young dancers as they develop their future.

Erica Smith

Guest Instructor

Erica has been a part of CADS from the beginning; first as a student and then continuing as an instructor and choreographer for over 35 years.

Erica graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. While in college Erica was a member of the Akron Zips Dance Team, performed in her college dance ensemble, and was also in a production of My Fair Lady where she performed with members of the Cleveland Ballet.

Erica also performed in stage shows at Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire. In addition, Erica was also a member of the Cleveland Cavalier’s dance team for three years. During this time she performed with the NBA All-Star Dance Team in 1997, where she had the opportunity to meet many celebrities and athletes, including Michael Jordan.

Becca Shaffer

Substitute Instructor

Becca spent eleven years teaching as a full time faculty member at Class Act before moving to an official substitute position over the last few years.

She spent her early childhood years training in ballet and expanded her background to other forms of dance throughout high school and college.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Dance Education from BGSU, performed as a member the BGSU Dance Repertory Ensemble, and in works featured at ACDA (formerly ACDFA).

She has taught, choreographed, and performed in the local community for many years as well. One of her greatest joys is seeing dancers grow not only in their technique, but also in their performance quality, story-telling, and their deeper love for the magic of dance.
